The USB end of the cable can plug into a laptop or a dedicated USB charger. It’s held in place magnetically, with the four pins on the charger lined up over the four metal contacts on the computer. To activate, you attach the cable to the back of the computer.

It comes in a neat box that also contains a user manual and a USB charger cable. The new Eon Core is effectively a less extreme version of the Eon Steel, and – spoiler alert! – it’s an excellent piece of kit that isn’t overshadowed by its slightly older sibling. And the build quality suggests that you could use it as a club if the scramble for boat places ever got out of hand, and still take it diving. If I looked up the words “fully featured” in a dictionary I wouldn’t be surprised to see a picture of one in place of a long description. The Eon Steel came out a little while ago. Its products have been pretty much standard issue at various times, and it has always seemed to hit the features/usability/ price-point combination nail firmly on the head, which makes any new Suunto dive computer of more than passing interest. The universal acceptance of computers is one of the most profound changes to sweep the sports-diving world, and Finnish company Suunto has done as much as anybody to encourage that development. In fact, I don’t remember the last time I saw a diver withoutĪt least one computer, even if he or she also had a slate and timer as a last resort. It the switch has a lighted indicator then that complicates things so let us know what you have. And I include tec and rebreather divers in that sweeping generalisation. It is the AUTO wiring and/or grounding of the timer that you have wrong. The MANUAL setting of the switch "bypasses" the internal circuitry and therefore powers the motor directly so you have that part apparently correct. The wire colors in my diagram were chosen for visibility and may not match what you have. If the switch seems to work backwards then swap the top and bottom connections. 5) That leaves you with one connection from the timer to the top terminal on the switch and the other to the bottom terminal. 4) The GROUND wire on the PUMP goes to NEG on the battery or any other ground point wherever you find it. 3) The timer has only ONE output and it goes to the HOT wire for the pump (brown in your case).

It goes to ground wherever you find it which can be the NEG post on the battery. THAT connection comes from the fuse panel (typically) not directly from the battery. +12 volts goes to the center terminal on the switch.

1) There is no direct connection to POS on the battery from the timer. Re: Livewell timer switch driving me insane. I feel like I'm losing it with this one, there doesn't seem to be any reason it shouldn't work. I've switched it to auto and sat next to it for 10 minutes while it was on the "minimum" setting. No matter what I do, the pump will not come on in auto but it runs fine on Manual each time. The batteries are 2 12v wired in tandom (pos to pos, neg to neg) and I have even tried going through the original switch and through the buss panels. I returned the 1st switch thinking it was a faulty timer, yet now the second switch is doing the same thing.

I have also checked the battery voltage at the switch, the buss panels and the batteries themselves, and I am getting 12.4v. Red (+) to (+) on battery, Black (-) to (-) on battery and pump (-) and brown wire to brown on pump. I have it hooked up EXACTLY as the instructions show to a Johnson 500 gph aerator pump.

It is a TH Marine Automatic Aerator Control Switch. My issue is that my livewell timer will only work on manual, not on Auto.
